At Liver Scan Direct, founded in 2013, we specialize in the assessment of liver health using FibroScan® technology​. Our mission is to provide patients and their healthcare providers rapid access to FibroScan® technology to screen and monitor liver disease.

Liver diseases, including fatty liver, hepatitis B and C, and alcohol-related liver disease,

affect over 30% of the population and may lead to cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer. 

​

FibroScan® is a non-invasive device that measures liver stiffness and fatty infiltration as indicators of fibrosis (scarring) and steatosis, respectively. Liver stiffness may predict the risk of complications including liver failure, the need for transplantation, and liver cancer.

Our team of certified technicians, the most experienced in Canada, is overseen by an internationally-recognized liver specialist and pioneer in liver health assessment. Our specialist ensures the quality and accuracy of our FibroScan® examinations and provides all reports, which include confirmation of the reliability of the scan and a summary of the findings, interpretation, and recommendations. While other clinics perform FibroScans® in Ontario, none have the experience, expert oversight, and quality assurance of Liver Scan Direct.
